Why Wait? Do It NOW! Eat Dessert First

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I have spent the last year challenging myself, reflecting and more importantly living my life to the fullest. Many people have asked me, "Why now? What changed?" Unfortunately what changed was my age.  For as long as I can remember, I have been a planner. You can even ask my mom.  I have had a plan for everything.  I  use to get so excited when the new planners hit stores in August for back to school.  I would even buy new pens and stickers to decorate and plan.  I have had a plan my whole life.  My hopes, dreams, wishes have in some way always been a part of the plan.  Last June, I knew during the 2012/2013 school year, I would turn 35.  This hit me like a freight train.  I would have to check off a different box on the surveys, more fine lines would appear and I would no longer be able to say I was in my early 30's.
Because I have spent my whole life planning, I have probably missed out on opportunities because they weren't scheduled in my agenda.  I have also not taken as many risks as I would have liked.  I like order and structure but inside I knew I was missing out.  So on June 29, 2012 Why Wait? Do It Now! began.  I booked a trip to visit my best friend in Australia and challenged myself to take as many opportunities that came my way throughout the 2012/2013 year.  That meant spending more time with family and friends, trying new things, going new places, eating at new restaurants but most of all not waiting or making sure it fits perfectly in my plan.

So here is a list of some of the highlights/firsts for me this past year.
